Our philosophy is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and we aim to create an environment and curriculum where a child’s natural desire to learn is stimulated through meaningful, age appropriate, fun learning experiences that meet the needs of each child as an individual

Budding Explorers provides a nurturing, safe, healthy environment where we believe that children will be intrinsically motivated to learn. We are dedicated to promoting the holistic development of every child through our emergent preschool curriculum, that is child led and play based.
Our approach is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and built upon current worldwide research on early learning, which shows that children learn best through play & self-directed learning. Our focus is on developing children’s social and emotional skills, independence skills, supporting physical development and encouraging cognitive growth. This creates a solid foundation for future education, equipping children with life-long learning skills.
We strive to spend most of our time outdoor and as children have a natural affinity to nature being outdoors enables children to observe, be curious and experiment. As we follow a child led curriculum the flow of the day depends largely on the children and their interests. Staff observe and talk with children and other staff so the day can be planned and unfolded in a way that is meaningful to the children.
We promote playful learning as we believe that children need ample time to explore, create, manipulate, and discover the world around them. By providing large chunks of uninterrupted play each day, children will be allowed to relax and enjoy the learning that is taking place, indoors and out!
